Chris Story grew up immersed in music, raised in a family of musicians and singers. He began playing the fiddle at age four, competing in contests across Texas, and later studied saxophone in high school—earning a full scholarship to Abilene Christian University. Over the years, Chris has expanded his musical expertise to include mandolin, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, piano, and harmonica, establishing himself as a highly versatile and accomplished bandleader.

After joining his first band in 1995, Chris formed the Chris Story Band in 1997. What began in clubs and dance halls quickly evolved into a distinguished career in the corporate and private event market. Today, the Chris Story Band is one of the most recommended country bands in the San Antonio and Austin areas for corporate events, performing nationwide for well-known corporations and high-profile clients. Known for professionalism, consistency, and exceptional execution, Chris and his band deliver polished performances that elevate every event experience.
